SatireMusk's "Rate My Poo" App Hits $100 Trillion Pre-Money Valuation; Experts Hail Untapped 'Global Excrement Economy'
Investors gleefully ignore traditional metrics, citing universal human need for bowel movement assessment.
PALO ALTO, CA – In a move that has left some financial pundits bewildered and others quietly updating their investment models, Elon Musk’s newest venture, “Rate My Poo” (RMP), officially closed a Series A funding round today that values the nascent social media platform at an unfathomable $100 trillion.
This valuation easily outstrips all previous projections, including those for Musk's own SpaceX, Tesla and The Boring Company, which now seem quaint by comparison.
RMP, an app designed to allow users to anonymously upload photos and descriptions of their bowel movements for peer review, expert analysis, and competitive ranking, has reportedly attracted billions of users in its beta phase.
The groundbreaking valuation is being heartily defended by lead investors who point to the app's potential to revolutionize public health, waste management, and even inter-species communication.
"Frankly, the market has overlooked the 'global excrement economy' for far too long," stated Marc Andreessen, Investor and Advisor in RMP. "We're talking about a product that virtually every human being on the planet produces, often multiple times a day. The data alone is worth more than gold. With RMP, Elon isn’t just disrupting a market; he’s creating a market where none dared to tread before. Compared to, say, digging tunnels underground, this is a truly universal human endeavor."
Earlier this week, internal projections from Musk's team suggested that RMP could command a user base of eight billion within its first year, generating revenue streams through premium analytics features, sponsored toilet paper ads, and a "Certified Organic Fiber Score" subscription service.
Analysts at Quantum Leap Analytics, a buy and sell-side equity analytics firm previously skeptical of meme stocks, released a revised report this morning endorsing RMP's valuation as "conservative."
"While critics might focus on the subjective nature of 'poo ratings,' they fail to grasp the deeper societal implications," one analyst continued, gesturing emphatically with a laminated chart depicting projected daily waste tonnage. "Think of the diagnostic potential! The cross-cultural understanding! Imagine a world where international relations are improved by shared, anonymized fecal data. This isn't just an app; it's a global public service. And its valuation reflects that. The Boring Company, with its mere tunnels, just can't compete with the sheer volume of daily human output."
Musk himself, in a brief statement released via Neuralink, simply tweeted: "Rate My Poo: A truly human-centric platform. Finally, the people shall judge that which truly matters."
The company plans to use the fresh capital to develop AI-powered olfactory sensors for remote analysis and to purchase several small island nations for dedicated, privacy-enhanced "review centers."
In a follow up Tweet, Musk added, "Think Easter Island, but just instead of those giant heads imagine mountains of, well, you know..."
